HIGH-TECH.NRW is a network dedicated to fostering a strong high-tech and deep-tech economy in North Rhine-Westphalia.
As an early-stage startup accelerator for high-tech and deep-tech startups, it is commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection, and Energy and is implemented and coordinated by NMWP Management GmbH.

As a statewide initiative, we actively connect promising, high-potential startups with universities, industry, and policymakers. In this way, we forge effective connections and lay the foundation for a high-performing, climate-friendly, and forward-looking high-tech economy in Germany’s most populous state.
A networked, high-tech economy forms the foundation for the sustainable development of key technologies and is also a crucial strategic lever for achieving climate policy, social, and economic goals.

Ms. Mona Neubaur, Minister of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection, and Energy for the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, has been named patron of the HIGH-TECH.NRW accelerator.
We are very pleased to having Ms. Neubaur by our side, as she is committed to maintaining North Rhine-Westphalia’s international competitiveness by creating a climate-neutral and strong industrial sector. This requires new technologies, which are primarily developed by national high-tech and deep-tech startups.

The university landscape and excellence strategy of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia provide the perfect conditions for exchange and transformation into a new high-tech and deep-tech scene. Leading universities such as RWTH Aachen, Ruhr University Bochum, TU Dortmund, the University of Cologne, the University of Münster, and the University of Duisburg-Essen, as well as numerous other higher education institutions and clusters of excellence, are part of the initiative to establish North Rhine-Westphalia as a high-tech hub.
