At present, many water-repellent textiles are made from blended materials, sometimes using chemicals such as fluoropolymers, and are therefore not recyclable. The three-person all-female founding team at Octo <\/strong>has therefore developed a technology that makes it possible to produce water-repellent and breathable fabrics without the use of fluoropolymers. A key feature is the Octo <\/strong>yarn\u2019s water-repellent nature, which means the fabric remains dry even when submerged. It also reduces friction and provides thermal insulation. The Octo <\/strong>yarn is a circular monomaterial, made from recycled materials and can also be recycled again at the end of its life. It is suitable for use in numerous applications, such as outdoor clothing or technical textiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
